THE JOY OF BEING AT HOME

Updated: Oct 19, 2020

Hi Regent’s community and everybody, probably you are wondering how you can really manage these challenging times.

Every week, we will publish the best ideas that, we hope, will make a difference in your journey.

Let’s start with the essentials - How to calm yourself?

3 minutes breathing exercise that will make a big difference.

Here's a simple breathing exercise to restore yourself specially if you are feeling anxious or stressed. A simple, but powerful, technique.

  1. Place one hand on your chest, the other on your belly.

  2. Opened your mouth and... exhale. Gently sigh, as if you have completed a very difficult task. As you do, let your shoulders and the muscles of your upper body relax.

  3. Close your mouth and pause for a few seconds.

  4. Inhale slowly through your nose by pushing your all the muscles of your stomach out.

  5. Pause briefly for whatever time feels comfortable.

  6. Open your mouth and slowly exhale through your mouth by pulling your belly in.

  7. Repeat these simple steps for 3 minutes.

You want the movement to occur at your stomach and your upper body will be relatively still. If you feel movement in your chest, or notice your head and shoulders moving upwards, stope and start slowly again.

Stay tuned for more ideas and HAPPY BREATHING!
