Young & Sober

Updated: May 5, 2021

Alcohol is a legal and socially acceptable drug which is often encouraged for celebrating, socialising and used as a coping mechanism. No surprise then that 48% of Britons reported drinking more than usual during lockdown.

A sobering thought is that one person dies every hour as a result of alcohol in the UK.

Understanding how alcohol affects the mind and body is an important first step if we are to make informed choices about drinking.

Everyone responds differently to alcohol and if it stops being fun or you are worried about your drinking, free and non judgemental support is available.
