STUDENT REPS
'Student Reps’ volunteer to represent the student voice on their course, helping to
shape and evolve the:
-
Student experience
-
Curriculum
-
Resources
-
Teaching quality
-
Organisation and communication
-
Sense of community.

THE ROLE
The Reps are a champion of students' voices. They have an opportunity to amplify issues that matter to their friends and coursemates, and to empower change at the top strategic level of the University that
will make a real difference for all students at Regent's.
WHAT IS EXPECTED?
As a Rep, the main role is to speak with other students on the course to understand their experiences.
This includes:
-
Challenges they’ve faced
-
Constructive criticism
-
Positive feedback (so the good bits don’t change!)
When a Rep receive feedback, they will record it, collate it and distill it into some key points to present to the University.

COURSE PANELS
University’s framework for gaining feedback from students relevant to programme areas, to enable and encourage regular course-specific dialogue with our students.
They offer an opportunity for students to raise issues presented in the feedback form, and for the Directors of Content (DoCs) to respond and address those issues.

Meetings will be by course but may be grouped where necessary. Meetings will take place once per semester and will be arranged between week 10 and 11 of the term. Meetings will usually be one hour's duration unless the course has a large number of reps in which case 90 minutes may be agreed with the chair. Meetings will be set up by the appropriate Student Experience Officer at a date and time agreed with the Student Representatives and the DoCs.
